APRIL NEWSLETTER

Time in a bottle

Three bottles of perfume  have occupied a little space in one of my drawers for many years,  are the opening thoughts for the message in this letter to you.   One of the bottles has been in a silver tin container with a lot of other trinkets.  Each time I open the tin its amazing perfume fills the air and I breath deep to take it all in,  remembering years ago the guessing game we played with you at a ladies meeting one time.

In  Bible times you remember the story of a lady who carried a bottle of perfume close to her, waiting for the right moment , forgetting the years of selfishness , not minding the time she had spent in purchasing this most precious bottle,   then kneeling  on the floor, she washed the feet of Someone who knew her heart as an aroma that  surrounded his memory and confirmed the reason He had come to the earth.  Luke 7:36-50

this is what was in her bottle:  Like oil upon Your feet
Like wine for You to drink
                                                 Like water from my heart
I pour my love on You.......

Today i would like to give you the word Time.....the moments you spend in a kind something for someone, the moments you seek out Christ for him to bless you, the moments you allow another person their expression of thoughts,  the moments...you interact with another person... because that is all it takes to make a difference and breathe in the results!

2 : 15 Corinthians... For we are the aroma of Christ to God among those who are being saved and among those who are perishing,

Poem copied...have you ever wondered what was in those old abandoned houses??

HOUSE ABANDONED
Listen to the empty house each room tells a story
voices dance in the stale air that follow newcomers
whisper in their ears, whirl and  wait on the carpets

then fade like an echo into silence.
if you feel the brush of  hair on your face
don't turn, follow the scent of time

if you look out the windows
watch the long shadows cast by trees
over there....by the bushes
don't turn around!  just follow the scent!!

I wish you a happy and eventful April creating memories!!  best wishes from bev
